![]() ![]() On a daily basis, more than 530 GCS bus drivers travel more than 41,000 miles on average across the county. In GCS, more than 34,000 students ride the bus each day. Parents can also share stories about what makes their child’s bus driver outstanding. To help celebrate School Bus Driver Appreciation Week, parents, teachers and children are encouraged to visit the program's Web site,, which has printable resources to help families show their appreciation for their bus drivers. It is also an opportunity for parents and children to learn more about the safety and environmental benefits of school bus transportation.
